Better Than Anything Cake

  • Box of your favorite chocolate cake
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 jar of butterscotch caramel ice cream topping
  • Large bag of Heath baking bits
  • 8 oz. of Cool Whip


  1. Bake a box chocolate cake according to package directions (or cake of your choice)
  2. When cooled, poke holes in the top of the cake with the handle of a wooden spoon  
  3. Pour 1 can of sweetened condensed milk over cake
  4. Pour 1 jar of butterscotch caramel ice cream topping over cake
  5. Sprinkle with Heath baking bits
  6. Cover with Cool Whip 8 oz.
  7. Garnish with Heath baking bits and chocolate ice cream topping.


Feel free to experiment with alternatives to the Heath baking bits. I've noticed that the cake toppings that work best are small, crumbly pieces that don't overwhelm each bite.
